Happy ‘Straya Day!

As expected, most Canberrans took advantage of this long weekend by going to the coast, or even interstate. However, if you are one of the few (me included) who decided to have a staycation, I hope you did not miss any of this:

1) Great Aussie Day Breakfast at Commonwealth Park which started at 7:30am. The proceeds went to the Heart Foundation

2) How To Train Your Dragon Vikings Workshop” at Stage 88

3) National Flag Raising and Citizenship Ceremony at Rond Terrace.

4) Australia Day Fireworks Spectacular at Lake Burley Griffin.

5) Enjoy background music at Regatta Point from the lake-based entertainment at the central basin of Lake Burley Griffin.

Some did not want to go that far and just decided to head to their local park and had an authentic Australian barbecue with friends and family while soaking up the sun.
