Jaguar Land Rover Plant Inspires Lichfield Students

A group of students from the Nether Stowe School in Lichfield, Staffordshire took a guided tour of the Jaguar Land Rover manufacturing site at Castle Vale, Birmingham. They came out impressed and inspired by what they saw.

The factory tour provided the students the chance to see how a modern manufacturing site works. The students were able to check out the production lines of the XE, XF, XJ and F-Type models. They also participated in educational activities that introduced them to the process of replicating a model car, setting up a production line, and programming mechanical machinery.

The tour also provided them valuable info on how to become a worker for Jaguar Land Rover and the pay they can expect in various positions.

Harry Yates, one of the students who took part in the tour, says “I found the trip to Jaguar Land Rover to be interesting and informative while being fun and enjoyable at the same time”

” I particularly liked our re-creation of a production line”
