Think you can’t afford the latest Range Rover? Don’t be so sure. The latest model of the Range Rover Sport will carry a price tag of just under £60,000 when it goes on sale at the end of this year.

The pricing is certainly a pleasant surprise considering the key improvements made for this Rover. You’ll get the 2.0-litre Ingenium engine that can produce 0-62 mph in 8 seconds while delivering an estimated 45.6 mpg. There’s also the 520bhp supercharged V8 option that produces a 0-62 mph time in just 5 seconds.

You can go for the SVR version that is half a second faster. For more efficient performance, there’s the 340bhp 3.0-litre V6, which is capable of a 0-62mph time of 7.1 seconds.

The updated Range Rover is being touted by Land Rover as “the most connected Range Rover Sport to date”. It comes with a 10-inch touchscreen display, remote control for certain parts of the vehicle courtesy of a dedicated smartphone app, and an infotainment system with news, weather, and flight information. You can also expect the Commute Mode, which takes note of the driver’s journey habits and incorporating it into the satellite navigation.
