Top 10 Passenger Cars for September 2017

For the month of September, Toyota Corolla is the best-selling passenger car, although number of sales is lower compared to the same month last year. 3055 examples of the Corolla rolled off showroom floors, beating the Mazda3 for the top position, which has only 2776. Just like Corolla, Mazda3’s sales total for this month is lower compared to the same period in 2016.

In third place is the Holden Commodore. This is the final full sales month before the automaker stops production in Australia on October 20. Hyundai i30 is in fourth place, with 2300 registrations. Toyota Camry takes the fifth spot, with 2251 registrations.

Another Hyundai takes the sixth place. The Accent tallies 1763 registrations, which puts it ahead of strong contenders Volkswagen Golf, Kia Cerato, Honda Civic, and Mazda2.

Among the top 10 cars, only the Commodore, Camry, Golf, Cerato, and Civic were the only models that had an increase in sales compared to last year.
