The 500,000th Range Rover Evoque Rolls Off Production Line

The Land Rover’s production plant in Halewood is celebrating its production of the 500,000th Range Rover Evoque, just four years after the start of the deliveries for this incredibly popular Rover vehicle. Considered as the most successful and fastest selling Land Rover ever produced, one in every three of Land Rovers sold worldwide today is an Evoque.

A new vehicle is delivered every 80 seconds, with the Halewood production line running 24 hours a day. Gerry McGovern, Land Rover’s Automotive Design Director, says “Evoque has been a huge success for Land Rover winning more than 165 international awards, bringing new customers to the brand and evolving to stay ahead of the competition. With our bold new Evoque Convertible we have broadened the range and will attract even more new customers to the brand.”

The production of the Evoque yielded great returns for the GBP 250 million (AUD 479) investment. In just four years, the workforce at the Merseyside has tripled.

Aside from this, Land Rover celebrated another milestone for the sale of its 6,000,000th vehicle – a Range Rover Vogue SE LWB fitted with unique puddle lamp, specially manufactured to mark this achievement for the company.
